WaterGuard in Columbia, SC

This basement in Columbia, SC was taking on water. Our All-Dry of the Carolinas team installed at WaterGuard. A water guard is a system that intercepts the water at the perimeter of the basement and drains it unseen and safely into the SumpPump where it is then flushed from the basement. WaterGuard is different because it is designed to not sit in dirt like most draining systems do. There is a special wall flange that creates space between the floor and wall allowing wall seepage to drain through the WaterGuard while keeping it away from the dirt. Since this type of drainage is separated from dirt, the chances of it clogging are nearly impossible!

Total Encapsulation of Crawlspace in Columbia, SC

Our All-Dry of the Carolinas team was able to solve this problem by using a series of our watering proofing technology. Our crew installed a CleanSpace liner, sump pump, and dehumidifier. When encapsulating the crawlspace with CleanSpace, it seals the area to keep moisture from creeping up from the ground and causing damage to your foundation.   A dehumidifier was placed in the crawlspace as a solution to the humidity that is produced from the pipes under your house. A SumpPump is to flush out entering water and excess water from the dehumidifier from the crawlspace. Together with all these tools, the crawlspace is completely protected from moisture.

Lexington, SC Crawlspace Saved by the CleanSpace

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a million times: CleanSpace saves a crawlspace. Let’s take these photos here into account. There’s obvious debris and dirt in the first picture. The debris can be easily removed, but that dirt won’t be going anywhere for a long time. In addition to adding to the moisture problem, the dirt floor is unsightly and any standing water in the crawlspace will only heighten the humidity issue. Even if there are no floods or freak storms to dampen your crawlspace, water will make its way in through the use of the air and the ground. Yes, even the ground.  The best way we handle that issue is to put down some of our patented CleanSpace.

CleanSpace, pictured here in the “After” photo, is a 20 mils thick liner reinforced with polyester cords. It’s extremely durable and nearly impossible to rip or tear accidentally. Not only that, but it takes away that uninhabitable look most dirt crawlspaces have. It’s easy to clean and keeps clean relatively easy. This Lexington, SC homeowner learned that pretty quickly and are now a bit more inclined to make the journey down there. When we take a look at the difference between the two photos, we can, without a doubt, understand why.

Piping System in Lexington, SC is Replaced by Shiny New WaterGuard

This basement, before we came out, was having major moisture issues. It had a sump pump, but the water wasn’t always making it there. This is how our Design Specialist, Alex Rogers, new that WaterGuard was the way to go.

This piping system would capture the water that comes through the walls and deliver it directly to the sump pump. As you can see in the “after” photo, the system is installed close to the wall. A small incision is made, the system is placed, and it is covered with cement to dry. What’s left exposed is the small port our technicians use to clean it out.
