Anything below grade is susceptible to water intrusion in some form. There are several different ways for water to get into a crawlspace or basement, but many times it is mainly caused by hydrostatic pressure pressing against the foundation walls. This is the common cause especially when a home has consistent and continuous water intrusion, however, this can get even worse with heavy rains.
This was the case for this homeowner in Lexington, South Carolina. They had pretty consistent water intrusion through the bottom of the basement walls, but when it would rain heavily the homeowner would really start to notice the water coming in. The homeowner knew that they couldn't just continue to let this happen, so they began to do a little research and found us!
The system that our crew installed in the basement made a huge difference with the water intrusion the home was having. The homeowners no longer had to worry about water getting into the basement with the installation of the CleanSpace and WaterGuard. The CleanSpace is the liner that can be seen on the walls around the basement and helps to catch any water or moisture coming through the basement walls. The WaterGuard can't actually be seen, but is in the floor around the perimeter of the basement. The WaterGuard catches the water that the CleanSpace drains down and then takes it to the sump pump that was installed in the lowest part of the basement, where it is then pumped out.

This basement in Batesburg, SC was having water issues. Water would seep down the walls from ground level and puddle on the floors. These home owners did the right thing by calling All-Dry of the Carolinas. Our All-Dry crew was able to tackle this issue with three of our most used products: WaterGuard, CleanSpace, and the SuperSump Pump.
In the “before” picture you see the corner of the basement before our All-Dry team started installing the WaterGuard and SuperSump Pump. In the “after” picture you are able to see where the WaterGuard has been placed around the perimeter of the basement and the SuperSump Pump.
This home in Augusta, GA was experiencing major moisture issues in their basement Our All-Dry team tackled this issue head on using several different methods of our water proofing technology. After cleaning the crawlspace of debris, our team inserted the CleanSpace Liner. CleanSpace is a 20 mil tick liner that is laid across the basement floor and wrapped around walls and piers. This liner works as a barrier to keep moister that is produced from the ground of the basement. In this specific case, the CleanSpace was just placed on the walls; this was to hold in moister that came from the water that dripped down the walls when entering the crawlspace. Once the CleanSpace was installed our team added a dehumidifier that would remove all moisture that is produced from under the home.
Water in a basement is never fun. What’s worse is trying to identify the location of the water. It can turn into a particularly tiresome scavenger hunt, if you don’t know what you’re looking for. It’s a problem that many homeowners have trouble identifying. The best solution is to call in the professionals.
And, after suffering with these water issues for some time, they reached out to All-Dry of the Carolinas. As shown in this photo, the wooden stairs in the corner of the room were quiet damp—dark with moisture. The walls bled water, often puckering the wood in the area.
In the “after” photo, we’ve solved that issue completely. We took the liberty to install WaterGuard—a patented drain system inserted beside cement and recovered to blend with the floor. It’s really a seamless process that takes a little work and a few people to make it successful.
