Crawl Space Repair - Evidence of Water Intrusion

Falling insulation is a very common sign of water intrusion, because of how absorbent insulation can be. When water vapor comes up through the soil and the humidity increases, the water seeks out a place to go, which is usually either the floor joists, or more commonly the insulation. When the water soaks into the insulation, it makes it heavy and begins to pull it down, which is exactly what has happened in this photo.
