Our WaterGuard piping system is the best in the business. There are no “ifs”, “ands”, or “buts” about it. Unlike other systems that require you to either dig up your lawn or allow large bulking pipes to roll around your property, our WaterGuard system remains unseen. But, don’t take my word for it; let’s take a look at the examples below.
See the “before” photo? When these Horse Shoe, North Carolina homeowners called into All-Dry of the Carolinas, their basement walls were leaking. Once the water dried, it would leave behind the whitish substance you see here—the efflorescence. Both the floor and the wall suffer from this issue. Not only is it annoying, but it isn’t particularly beautiful in the least. It needed a prompt solution. The best way to deal with this is to install WaterGuard.
In the “after” photo, we’ve done just that. See that dark strip across the floor? That is where we’ve made the incision for the WaterGuard piping system. It’s a drain system that does not sit in the dirt. In fact, we install it right inside of the basement, against the wall. At that position, it catches all of the water that drains from the walls; however, it does not allow in any debris or dirt. It’s perfect. And, after the water dries, it will be practically invisible.
This basement had a problem with several parts of its walls being very damp. This could definitely cause problems as the water vapor coming through the walls will increase the relative humidity, which can lead to mold growth in the basement. In order to fix this problem for the homeowner, our crew installed almost 800 square feet of BrightWall paneling in this basement.
The "before" picture shows how the basement looked when our Service Design Specialist first went out to this home. The most noticeable thing about this photo is the damp areas on the right-hand wall. This was one of the main issues that the homeowner was having to deal with, which meant it was the main issue we needed to take care of for them!
The "after" photo shows a radically different area than before. In this photo, the BrightWall had already been installed and can be seen going around the entire basement wall. BrightWall panels are large, inorganic panels that help to keep water vapor from getting into the basement. Not only are these panels functional, but they also make the basement look much better and cleaner than before; it covers up the block walls and presents a much cleaner image (great for selling your home!).
Unfortunately for some homeowners, they get hit with more than one issue at a time. This can be stressful, but the great thing is that our products all work and fit together, which allows us to simultaneously fix a foundation issue and basement waterproofing problem. This happened to be the case for this homeowner in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
The homeowner's main issue that they were worried about was water intrusion in their basement. While our Systems Design Specialist was inspecting the area, he also noticed that the walls of the basement were bowing. His proposal included WaterGuard and a SuperSump, to address the water intrusion, and PowerBraces to help with the bowing basement walls. The first photo actually gives a good look at how our products are installed, as you can see the trench for the WaterGuard and the hole for the SuperSump has been dug. You can also see the CleanSpace on the wall, and the PowerBrace that has already been installed!
The difference between the basement before and after the work was done is quite significant. First of all, the basement was given a newer and more clean look. Even more importantly, the problems that this homeowner was dealing with before were no longer an issue. The PowerBraces were able to give more support for the wall, with the added ability of being able to be tightened over time. The CleanSpace Wall, SuperSump pump, and WaterGuard all work together perfectly in order to keep water from staying in the basement.
This homeowner called into All-Dry of the Carolinas with a mold problem. They were experiencing major moisture issues in this Hendersonville, North Carolina home. They reported large white patches along the walls and spots of water dotted throughout the space. Our Design Specialist thoroughly investigated the basement and came to the conclusion that WaterGuard needed to be installed.
Water would come through the walls and either dry or pool on the floor. What WaterGuard does to combat this issue is capture the water as it runs off of the walls and send it to a sump pump to be pushed away from the home. The WaterGuard is installed along the basement walls and is designed to sit unseen, covered with a layer of cement. It’s the one system that you won’t have to worry about clogging from soil or dirt.
If we take a look at the ‘after’ photo, we can see where the crew made the incision for the WaterGuard and covered it with cement. This is the best way to insure we prevent further water issues as well as keep the space as uncluttered as possible.
This basement in Hendersonville, SC was taking on water. Our All-Dry of the Carolinas team installed at WaterGuard. A water guard is a system that intercepts the water at the perimeter of the basement and drains it unseen and safely into the SumpPump where it is then flushed from the basement. WaterGuard is different because it is designed to not sit in dirt like most draining systems do. There is a special wall flange that creates space between the floor and wall allowing wall seepage to drain through the WaterGuard while keeping it away from the dirt. Since this type of drainage is separated from dirt, the chances of it clogging are nearly impossible!
