Our crew installed CleanSpace and transformed this dark and dirty crawlspace, into a clean and bright crawlspace.
This customer, as with many other of our customers, had a moisture and mold problem in their crawlspace. The best way to remedy this is to call us to figure out exactly what you need! In this case, our system design specialist recommended Mold-X in order to get rid of any existing mold, and a CleanSpace Liner in order to prevent any further moisture from entering the crawlspace.
The "before" photo shows what moisture has done to this crawlspace and insulation. When there is excess moisture in the crawlspace, the insulation gets heavy and begins to fall. This is what has happened in this photo.
The "after" photo shows the same area our crew had installed the CleanSpace Encapsulation system. You can see that the customer opted to remove all of their installation, because of this we installed our Silver Glo Insulation, which helps cut down on heating and cooling costs. The customer can decide later on wheather they would like to reinstall insulation or leave it the way it is!
This customer had a dirty and messy crawl space, but that wasn't the biggest problem. Our Specialist noticed the standing water right away. Several different spots in the owners previous crawl space liner had sunk and had pools of water. Our team came to the rescue and installed our CleanSpace Liner and regraded the crawlspace to prevent water from continuing to pool.
The "before" photo shows the crawlspace before the installation of our CleanSpace Liner. On the right had side of the picture, you can see a small trough where water can collect, which can be very damaging to your foundation.
The "after" photo shows the installation of our CleanSpace Liner. It doesn't just stop on the ground, having the barrier go up the wall pushes any condensation down into our WaterGuard drainage system, where it will get pumped out.
All crawlspaces have their quirks. This Piedmont, South Carolina crawlspace is our prime example. What we have here is a space that has a very high moisture content. Looking closely at the “before” photo, we notice that the dirt floor does have a liner. That’s a well and good. However, the crawlspace still has a terrible moisture problem. Why is that? Well, consider this. There may be a liner and said liner may be steadfastly holding back water vapor, but the walls are not protected. The cement block walls allow in just as much water, and the amount to this water varies depending on the force of the rain outside. Even with the added thin barrier of protection, the crawlspace is exposed and vulnerable.
Flash forward to the present. Flash forward to the crawlspace renewed. Take a look at the “after” photo. Isn’t it pretty?
There are very few products on the market today like CleanSpace. CleanSpace was designed specifically for the moisture-ridden crawlspace. It was designed to be a barrier. Lucky for us, it does the job without even trying. Pull up the wall, it provides protection from the outside moisture. Any water that slips through the blocks is met with immediate resistance. The CleanSpace says ‘no.’ It is not allowed to come into this safe space created here. Even the piers are subject to this method, they, too, are wrapped and sealed. The outside stays outside and the inside is well protected. Water issues exist no more.
This customer had standing water, which created a very wet and humid crawlspace. In order to help alleviate and fix their problems. Our experts installed over 1200 Square feet of CleanSpace liner (on both the floor and the walls). we also installed drain tile, and a SuperSump pump to get rid of any water that does make its way into the crawlspace.
The "before" photo shows how bad of a condition the basement was in; insulation was falling, bricks and cinder blocks were just sitting there, and the clay and mud that made its way onto the previous liner.
The "after" picture shows the installation of the CleanSpace System. Not only is it functional and keeps the water out, but it looks great too! You, your kids, or any technician that does work under your house will love this!
