The first couple photos really show how bad this crawlspace was, there were all kinds of critters inhabiting this crawlspace.

The first thing our crew had to do was to clean out the entire crawlspace. Our crew removed all of the insulation, both on the ground and insulation that was still under the floor. The vermin were using this as bedding and was making the problem even worse, so we got rid of this. The great thing about CleanSpace Liner is because everything is encapsulated, it helps to regulate temperature, so insulation is not always needed.

After cleaning out the crawlspace, our crew went to work in laying down the CleanSpace Liner, which usually keeps out moisture, but in this case was being used to try and keep out vermin. As far as we know, this homeowner has not had any further problems with animals, but we definitely know they won't have any problems with moisture!

This home was just like many other homes in the Carolinas and Georgia, as well as homes throughout the country! It was having moisture issues, which was causing a musty smell with the chance to grow mold. Unfortunately, this is a reality for many homeowners, caused by none of their own doing.

This homeowner had already tried to solve this problem with a DIY solution, using a normal crawl space liner. Unfortunately, this DIY solution was not able to help the homeowner. Instead, this homeowner needed a real solution that was not just going to postpone the issues or sometimes even make them worse. The solution was to install our CleanSpace liner and a SaniDry dehumidifier.

The first two photos show what the crawl space looked like before any work was done, while the final photo shows the difference that our products made. Our crew went in the crawlspace and almost immediately started rolling out the CleanSpace, after doing some minor cleaning. The crew quickly and correctly laid the CleanSpace and sealed it up properly, so that no areas would let moisture come through. After the CleanSpace was down, the crew put in the dehumidifier. The SaniDry CX, helps to keep the humidity level in the crawlspace under 55%, because anything much higher than that, and mold may be able to grow on the organic surfaces of the crawlspace.

This homeowner had some pretty serious problems with water intrusion in their basement. The first photo gives a pretty good view of how much water was coming into the basement. This was definitely something that we needed to get taken care of as soon as possible. Our Systems Design Specialist Jonathan Geddie went out to this home to figure out what the best course of action would be.

Jonathan's solution consisted of mainly just our WaterGuard drain and a SuperSump pump. This was a pretty simple solution, but an extremely effective one. Fortunately for this homeowner, the water was really only coming from this small area in the basement, so there was only a small amount of WaterGuard that needed to be installed. The proposal was drawn up, approved, and the homeowner went on our schedule!

The crew was finally able to get out to the home and knock out this installation in just a single day! They started with taking digging up the concrete around the perimeter of the wall, as well as excavating an area for the sump pump. Once everything was dug up and prepared for installation, the crew began installing the WaterGuard and SuperSump. Once everything was in place, the crew mixed up some concrete and filled in the gaps! The last two photos show just how much of a difference was made in the basement.

High moisture content in a crawlspace can cause some pretty serious damage. This is mentioned throughout a good portion of the content on our website, but only a few homes have areas under there home that is in a very serious situation. Fortunately, we don't see these issues too often, as most homeowners will catch the problem before it gets too far out of hand. But sometimes, for one reason or another, we see homes that have serious damage done to them. 

This homeowner knew that they had a pretty serious issue when the called our office. They knew that they were mold and mildew under their home, as well as some of the floor joists under the home were completely soaked with water and some of them had actually been badly damaged and were causing "bouncy" floors. While the damage was severe, the System Design Specialist who went out to the home knew that this would be something that we could take care of. This was a pretty big job because of both the size of the crawlspace and the amount of work that had to be done. 

After the Design Specialist drew up a quote for the homeowner, they looked at what was going to be done, loved how the system worked and decided to go ahead and get it done! The next step was for the crew to come out to the home and start the work. One of the first things that needed to be done was to remove the insulation in the crawlspace. The insulation was soaked with water and had been growing mold for quite some time. There were a lot of different parts of the project going on at the same time during the installation, but the two main parts of this job were the installation of the CleanSpace and the SmartJacks under the home. The SmartJacks helped to correct the sagging floors, while the CleanSpace keeps the crawlspace sealed off from the outside. Another big part of this installation was the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier, which helps to keep the humidity level of the crawlspace below the point where mold and mildew can grow. 

Usually, homes that we deal with have either a basement or a crawlspace, but every once in a while we a home who has both. Something that we don't see nearly as often is a basement with a partial crawlspace in it. We've had a few homes like this before, but they certainly don't seem every day. The crew began the job by digging out an area for the sump pump to be installed, as well as sealing the vents in the crawlspace. The TripleSafe Liner was installed and then the crew moved on to the main part of the installation, the CleanSpace. The CleanSpace is very important to the system because it is what actually separates the dirt crawlspace from the rest of the home. The liner is what really keeps the water and moisture from getting into the crawlspace.
