Cracks in the Basement Walls
During the initial inspection, our Design Specialist found these cracks. Although tiny, cracks like these can lead to larger issues later. It's always best to deal with these kind of issues in the early stages.
Keeps Out of the Way
Carbon Fiber is a material that doesn't have to be exposed to actually do its job. If you don't like the idea of black strips lining your walls, you can either paint over them or cover them with dry wall. What's more is that the material doesn't extend further from the wall. The CarbonArmor is cut off right at the point it meets the floor and it ends in a neat line. In other words, CarbonArmor is the least obtrusive solution to fix bowing or cracking walls.
Application Process
To apply the Carbon Armor, our installers must first completely saturate the material in a high-strength epoxy resin. This resin actually absorbs any pressure from the walls rather than transfers that pressure to the floor. After that is finished, the resin is applied to the wall and the CarbonArmor is affixed. Again, one more bout of epoxy is applied to the affixed material, and it's all set.
ArmorLock Works With CarbonArmor
If we take a look at the photo here, we can see that the CarbonArmor, great in its own right, is not acting alone. When installing the CarbonArmor, we usually pair it with its ArmorLock counterpart. The ArmorLock is what keeps the CarbonArmor in place. It pulls the material taunt against the wall to prevent further movement.
