Horizontal Crack Along Wall
Here is one of the many cracks that was present around the foundation of this home. This is something that no one ever wants to see in their home, but it unfortunately happens quite often. This crack was taken care of with just a few push piers, which help to raise the foundation of the home towards its original position.
Horizontal and Stair-Step Cracks
This photo shows off some more of the cracks that had formed around the home. There are two main types of cracks that can be seen in the photo, stair-step cracks and a long horizontal crack that has formed along the bottom of the wall. Once the push piers are installed, these cracks will be closed up and the foundation will be stabilized!
Stair Step Crack on Outside Wall
Here is just one more large crack that had formed in the foundation of this home. The more cracks that our System Design Specialist began to see, the more worried he got because the cracks started showing up all around the home. He knew that our push piers would be able to fix it, but had to figure out exactly where each push pier was going to have to be installed.
Excavated Area for Push Piers
This is one of the areas where a few of the push piers were to be installed. The area by the foundation must be excavated down to the bottom so that the push piers can be attached to the foundation. Once attached, the push piers are able to properly carry the load and support the home through lifting.
Crack After Push Pier Installation
Here is what the crack looked like after the push piers had been installed. While it may seem like there is still some damage, it is all superficial. This crack has been brought back toward its original position and the foundation is solid, the only thing left is to make it look prettier!
Installed Push Pier
This is what the push pier looked like when everything was said and done. This is only one of the many that were installed, but it gives a pretty good insight into what was done in different areas around the home. Usually the piers are sub-surface, but because of where and how this home was built, the bottom of the foundation was just a few inches down. This led to some of the push piers being just a few inches above ground.
Installed Push Pier Pt. 2
This shows one of the push piers that were installed in order to help fix the cracks in this home's foundation. This is an example of how these particular push piers, when installed, were slightly above the ground. This usually doesn't happen, but because of how the home was constructed, there was no other option. However, the push piers can be covered very easily!
Repaired Crack on Inside Wall
Here is one of the cracks that had formed on the inside of the home, but after the foundation had been stabilized. In this photo, the crew had already mixed some more concrete and patched up the cracks. Once this dries, it will look as good as new! This homeowner was so happy when they saw how all of the cracks had been closed and the foundation stabilized.
