Small Crack On the Side of Home
This picture shows one of the smaller cracks that had began to show on the home. While small cracks like this may not seem like a big deal, they should be looked at as soon as you begin to see them, rather than waiting for them to get worse. This is a huge mistake that many homeowners make, waiting to see if the problem will get worse or not. Unfortunately, in most cases it will only get worse, but it definitely won't get any better!
Larger Crack on Foundation
This is a better and more clear picture of another one of the cracks. These cracks aren't the biggest we've seen, but they definitely indicate some foundation issues. These cracks are usually caused by settlement of the ground beneath the home, and as the ground sinks, the foundation goes with it, slowly causes cracks because the lack of support.
Larger Crack Around Door
This is an even larger crack than the other ones that have been shown. It starts at the door because doors and windows are weak points around the home, because there is more pressure on these areas. That is why cracks are more likely to form around the edges, and especially at the corners.
Progress on the Cracks
This photo shows off one of the cracks that had been closed up through the installation of the push piers and raising of the foundation. The duct tape is a good indicator on how much the push piers corrected the crack, and the duct tape in this photo has certainly moved, showing that the crack has definitely been brought back together.
Push Piers Installed on Corner of Home
This is what the push piers look like when they are completely installed. The only thing that was left to do at this point was to fill the areas back in with dirt. That is what is so great about these push piers, is that not only do they solve the homeowner's issue, but you'll never have to see them again once they've been installed.
Another Push Pier
Sometimes push piers must be installed in areas where there isn't much room or there are a lot of obstructions. It is not always easy to get this done, but our crew will make sure to get it done one way or another. Even through all of these pipes and wires, our crew was able to effectively install the push pier with having to move anything else!
