Cracking on the Outside
This is what most of the brick on the outside of this home looked like. There were not very many huge cracks, but around the home there were areas all over where these small cracks were appearing. These cracks were the main reason that this homeowner actually ended up giving us a call.
More Outside Cracking
Here is even further evidence that this home was settling, which was causing this cracking. Settlement occurs when the ground that your home is on, and the ground that surrounds the home begins to shift and "settle". The foundation of the home them moves with it and the cracking occurs.
Cracking On Inside Wall
So far only the outside evidence has been shown, but this foundation was not just causing cracks on the outside of the home, but on the inside. Here you can see an inside wall that has some pretty significant cracks in it. This home had some pretty significant foundation problems that needed to be taken care of sooner, rather than later.
Push Piers Being Installed
Here is a photo where the push piers are in the process of being installed. The holes have already been dug for the push piers and they are ready to be raised and for the foundation to be corrected. You can see one of our crew members working hard to make sure all of the hoses are correctly placed.
Installed Push Pier
Here is a picture of one of the eighteen push piers that were installed around this home. This one has already been dug out, installed, and has already been raised. The crew takes their time in raising the foundation, so that they get the home as level as possible. This is an even more time consuming project with eighteen push piers.
Fixed Crack
Here is one of larger cracks in the foundation of this home that was fixed during this project. It is hard to see how much the push piers have helped out the home, and this area in particular. However, not only have the push piers corrected the existing problems, but they will keep the foundation from settling any further.
