Crawlspace Wall Bowing In
This shows just how bad of shape this crawlspace was in. The wall is bowing in severely with both a vertical and horizontal crack. We are usually able to support the walls with wall anchors, but because this entire home need a new support system, the SmartJacks were the way to go.
Crawlspace Before Any Work Was Done
Here is another picture before the work was done and the SmartJacks were installed. While this area of the crawlspace was not as bad as the other, it still had its problems. There are parts of this wall on the right hand side and back wall where some blocks are beginning to push out/bow.
Installed SmartJacks
Here are the installed SmartJacks under this home, there were 20 installed in total. This homeowner seriously needed support under their home and our SmartJacks are a great way to do this.
Opposite Side of Crawlspace
This is a similar picture to the second photo, except that the work has already been done. Since so many of these had to be installed, much of the crawlspace was cleared out by the homeowner. By doing this, the homeowner makes our job much easier and allows us to solve their problems much quicker!
Installed SmartJacks Near Back Steps
While many of these SmartJacks were placed on blocks that had been leveled out on the soil, this was one of the few in which we dug out the area, installed the SmartJack, and then the concrete was re-poured!
Outside View of Installed SmartJacks
Here is a photo from the outside of the home after the work had already been done. Several of the installed SmartJacks are visible from this angle. If you look really close, you may be able to see the lake in the background! It would have been a shame to see this beautiful home and view have to go through any more trouble, that's why they called All-Dry!
Another View of Installed SmartJacks
One of the last photos of SmartJacks. Most of the other pictures have focused on the front few rows of SmartJacks, but this photo gives a closer look at the last row or two, which are just as important. All of these SmartJacks work together in order to share the load of the house. This is one reason that there are so many of these jacks under the home, because with fewer of them the load slowly increases on each of the remaining ones.
Close Up of Installed SmartJack
This last photo gives a close up of one of the SmartJacks. The way that these SmartJacks were installed was to first excavate a small hole for the block to be placed in. After the area and the block are level, the SmartJack is placed in the block and then tightened.
