Crack in Outside Wall
This crack is one of the main reasons this homeowner called us. Cracks like this are often a sign of foundation problems, and the longer you wait, the worse they will get.
Installed Push Piers
Here are three of the installed push piers. This was the main area of settlement, therefore it needed the most support and lifting than the rest of the home.
Another Installed Push Pier
This push pier was installed around the corner from the other three. This corner of the home also had some minor cracking, which was the reason for a push pier to be installed.
Another view of an Installed Push Pier
Here is a more top-down view of the push piers. As you can see, the crew must dig as far down as the foundation goes. This is usually at least a few feet. We have to do this so that the push pier can be secured to the foundation.
Shims Placed Under Floor Joists
This is often a sign of settlement of a home. The three shims place under the floor joist show that the support column has sunk quite a bit. The shims are placed there to keep the floors from sagging from lack of support.
SmartJack Base
This is the base on which the SmartJacks all sit on. While this small cube of gravel doesn't seem like much, it provides a lot of support for the SmartJack and won't settle like the soil around it.
Installed SmartJacks
This shows off the installed SmartJacks. In this picture you can see three of the six that were installed.
More Installed SmartJacks
Here is another view of a couple of the SmartJacks. Having these SmartJacks (and Push Piers) installed can leave this homeowner with peace of mind that their home's foundation is safe and secure.
