Window/Wall Seperation and Crack on Wall
This photo shows what the home looked like before the push piers were installed. You can see how large of a separation there is from the window to the wall. Also, towards the bottom of this picture is another crack in the wall that was repaired.
After Push Piers were installed
This shows the correction of the foundation and how big of a difference this made. First off, you can see that the space between the window and the wall has been significantly decreased, showing just how much these push piers can do. While you could not see very much of the crack in the previous picture, in this one you can hardly tell it was even there. After the push piers are installed and the crack pushed back together, the crew goes back with mortar to reseal it.
Large Crack on Wall
This was the more significant crack in the wall. You can see that now only is it wide, but it also spanned quite far.
Repaired Crack
This shows the finished product. The push piers had been installed and the foundation was raised. Even the mortar had dried after sealing the crack back up.
Push Pier
This is one of five push piers that were installed in this home. You can see that with only five push piers the difference it made to the outside of the home. Push piers are driven deep into the ground and are independent of the foundation. Not only do they help to raise and level the home, but they will not settle like the rest of the foundation.
