There’s only one way to deal with a damp crawlspace. I lied. There’s a large amount of ways to deal with a damp crawlspace. However, there aren’t very many ways to deal with it efficiently. Luckily, All-Dry of the Carolinas has just the right solution. Owners of this Columbia, South Carolina home contacted us because they were afraid that mold would travel from their crawlspace and into their home. The crawlspace was so damp that water would actually collect in random dips in the dirt floor. The excess moisture was quickly turning the dirt floor into a swamp land. None of the homeowners could journey down into it without fear of getting stuck. This was the greatest issue for the homeowners. What’s more is that much of the water was starting to collect in the floor. Their sump pump was not working at all. The owners wanted a relatively inexpensive solution. After deeply investigating the crawlspace, he came to the conclusion that a full encapsulation was in order. Foreman Jose and his crew covered the crawlspace in CleanSpace. They replaced the old sump with one of our patented SmartSumps. A SaniDry CX dehumidifier was installed as well as Drain Tile. The products combine to not only eliminate the existing mold, but they rid the crawlspace of moisture and prevent more from growing. It’s a system that requires effort, but will work flawlessly if given time.
