Crawlspace Before Installation
While this photo may not seem too crazy or abnormal in any way, there are actually a couple different signs of water intrusion. The first one is pretty obvious, the soil in this crawlspace is quite damp which helps to increase the relative humidity level, something we don't want. There are also a few darker spots on some of the bricks, indicating that moisture has soaked into the bricks.
Soaked Crawlspace Ground
This was one of the areas in the crawlspace where a large amount of water was getting in and sitting in the crawlspace. There is even an area where the water had made a small divot near the wall. There was enough water and enough of a flow for it to create the divot in front of the column.
Rut Created by Water Intrusion
This photo shows off one of the main areas where water was getting into the crawlspace. There was so much water getting into the crawlspace from this corner that it had actually created a rut in the ground. You can also see that the soil around this area is still quite damp, an indication of this is the three or four slugs that can be seen in the photo.
Continuation of the Rut
The water intrusion in this crawlspace was no joke, the rut that started in the corner of the crawlspace continued on a little further through the crawlspace. This means that the water could end up making its way deeper into the crawlspace pretty quickly. The dirt on either side of the trench is soaked.
Installed CleanSpace Liner
Here is the CleanSpace that was installed in the crawlspace of this home. It completely changes the look and the function of the crawlspace. The area looks much better and cleaner than before, but more importantly the homeowner no longer has to worry about moisture and water ruining the crawlspace.
Another Photo of the Encapsulated Crawlspace
Here is another photo of the CleanSpace that was installed in this crawlspace. The crew did an excellent job with the installation of the CleanSpace. As always, they did an excellent job with ensuring that the CleanSpace was laid out as flat as possible and followed the outline of the crawlspace.
Installed Sump Pump and CleanSpace
Here is the entrance to the crawlspace, which just happened to be where the sump pump was installed at too. It doesn't always happen like this, but when it does, it works out great! This keeps everything (the sump pump and dehumidifier) very accessible, which is convenient for the homeowner.
Entrance to the Crawlspace
this photo shows off the crew just about finishing up the project. The only thing that they had left to do was to put on the EverLast door, which is an airtight door that prevents air and moisture from getting into the crawlspace. One of our crew members can be seem sealing up the seems between the frame and the wall with some expanding foam.
