Crawlspace Before CleanSpace Installation
This photo shows off a little of the crawlspace that had high moisture levels. While it may not seem like this is a particularly wet crawlspace, you can actually see in the lower left corner where water droplets have dried up, leaving some dirt behind. Even though this homeowner had a very well laid out plastic crawlspace liner, it still was not enough to prevent moisture from making its way into the crawlspace.
Unsealed Crawlspace Vent
Most people don't realize how big the debate about whether or not to seal vents is, but there is a huge argument on whether it is better to keep vents open or closed. In our business (keeping water and moisture out of crawlspaces), we believe that they should almost always be closed or sealed because it prevents outside air from bringing more moisture into the crawlspace.
Entrance to Crawlspace
This shows the entrance to the crawlspace and thankfully for our crew it was a little taller of a crawlspace, so they had a little bit more room to move. While this was a pretty solid door, and better than many that we see, it still isn't very effective at keeping moisture out. In order to help this crawlspace the best we can, our crew later installed an inorganic door that would seal up the area airtight.
Installed CleanSpace Liner
This photo gives us a great look at the CleanSpace that was installed in the crawlspace of this home. The crew did a great job with ensuring that the CleanSpace is laid out flat against the floor and walls of the crawlspace. This helps to keep the CleanSpace from being pulled off the wall or being torn or punctured.
Installed SilverGlo and CleanSpace Liner
This photo shows off the SilverGlo that was installed in the crawlspace. SilverGlo is the insulation that we can install in the crawlspace of a home. The CleanSpace usually does a pretty good job at keeping the crawlspace at a reasonable temperature, but SilverGlo and certainly be used as additional insulation.
One Last Photo of the Installed CleanSpace
Here is one last view of the CleanSpace that was installed in order to keep the moisture level down in the crawlspace. It really does completely transform the look and function of a crawlspace.
