Soaked Foundation Blocks
This photo shows how much water was making its way into the crawlspace. As you can see, there is quite a bit of water that was entering the crawlspace, mainly through the bottom of the wall and the floor of the crawlspace. These were the main areas where the water was getting into the crawlspace, and therefore was a main focus for our system.
Efflorescence Along Wall
Efflorescence is what is left behind when water comes through a wall and then evaporates. The white chalky look comes from the minerals that are left behind once the water evaporates. This is a very common sign of water intrusion and this crawlspace clearly had a lot of it.
Old Crawlspace Drain
This homeowner tried hard to take care of this problem without getting a professional involved, however it just wasn't possible for them. Here we see a drain that is meant to take water away from the crawlspace. Unfortunately, it wasn't really doing the job in its current condition.
Installed CleanSpace Liner
Here is what the crawlspace looked like after the crew had installed the both the CleanSpace Encapsulation system and SmartJacks. Not only was this homeowner dealing with pretty severe water intrusion, but they also had sagging floors that we were able to correct with our SmartJacks, which can be seen in the center of this photo.
Installed CleanSpace and Dehumidifer
Here is another photo showing the finished project. In this photo we can mainly see the CleanSpace liner which covers the entire floor and the majority of the walls. The other product that can be seen towards the back of the photo, is the dehumidifier that was installed in the crawlspace. The dehumidifier helps to keep down the humidity level of the crawlspace so that there is no chance for mold to grow.
CleanSpace Liner Installed in Crawlspace
This photo is a great example how of well our crews install our CleanSpace liner. They lay it tight on the ground and try to follow every edge or curve that they come to. This helps to prevent the CleanSpace from being pulled away from the surface that it is attached to. The crew also makes sure to take the line up any obstacles, such as the hot water heater or support column, and seal it with our tape.
Installed Sump System
Here is the sump pump system that was installed in the crawlspace of the home. The sump pump is installed in order to pump out the water that makes its way into the crawlspace. Fortunately the drainage under the CleanSpace liner does a great job at bringing the water straight to the sump pump so it can be taken care of.
