Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Standing Water in Easley, SC Crawlspace Gets CleanSpace Encapsulation

This homeowner was dealing with quite a bit of water intrusion in their crawlspace. Enough water was coming in that during the free inspection from one of our System Design Specialists, there was still standing water in the crawlspace. This was a pretty serious issue and could have very easily resulted in mold and mildew growth under the home. Fortunately, our System Design Specialist was able to come up with the perfect solution to this homeowner's problem, which consisted of CleanSpace, 3-inch drain tile, an EverLast door, a SuperSump System, and a dehumidifier. These all worked together perfectly in order to keep this crawl space dry and healthy.

Crawlspace Before Installation

This is how the crawlspace looked before any products were installed. There is some water around the perimeter of the crawlspace, but there is also some falling insulation. Falling insulation in a crawlspace is a very common sign of high humidity.

Here is another photo that was taken by our System Design Specialist while he was doing the free inspection of the home. It is a little harder to see signs of water intrusion, but as with the last picture, some fallen insulation can be seen further back in the photo.

Standing Water in Crawlspace

Here is one of the biggest issues this homeowner had, this standing water around the perimeter of the crawlspace. This was contributing to the moisture level quite a bit as well as creating an environment for mold to grow . Standing water is never something that you would like to see in a crawlspace, so if you do call us!

More Fallen Insulation

Here is one last photo of the crawlspace before the CleanSpace was rolled out and installed. This picture shows another piece of insulation that has fallen because of the high humidity level. While there is no standing water in this photo, you can see that ground is definitely wet.

Installed CleanSpace Liner

Here is a photo of the installed CleanSpace liner in this crawlspace. This photo doesn't show much of the actual CleanSpace, but it does show how the crew will also wrap support columns around things even as small as these bricks. This helps to keep as much water vapor and moisture out of the crawl space as possible.

Here is a better view of the CleanSpace that was installed in this crawlspace. As you can see, the CleanSpace liner is installed all of the way up the crawl space walls. This prevents water vapor from getting into the crawl space, keeping the moisture level of the crawlspace below where mold is able to grow.

This photo shows an even wider and brighter view of the CleanSpace that was installed in this crawlspace. This entire space has completely changed since the first photo.
