Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Water Intrusion Soaks Brasstown, NC Crawlspace and Leads to CleanSpace Encapsulation

The homeowner had called us after he checked out the crawlspace and noticed that a huge portion of it was completely soaked. This will be able to be seen in a few of the pictures in this photo gallery. Fortunately, the homeowner had dealt with this problem in his previous home, which we also encapsulated. So he gave us a call, to come to his new home and give him a quote for an encapsulation!

Soaked Crawlspace Ground

Here is one of the photos from the crawlspace, that shows off just how much water this crawlspace had in it. As you can see, not only is the ground soaked, but you can actually see how the water has gone up onto the wall of the crawlspace.

Here is another photo of the crawlspace before the CleanSpace liner was installed. This picture doesn't show the water intrusion nearly as well as the last photo, but it does show off that this crawlspace certainly needed some work done to it. One of the things that we did for the customer is to remove the debris that was in the crawlspace.

More Damp Crawlspace

Here is another photo of the crawlspace, where you can see the wet crawlspace ground and water damage on the back wall. Once the CleanSpace was installed, this whole area was cleaned up and looked so much better! Not to mention the fact that it will keep moisture out of the crawlspace!

Water Along the Crawlspace Wall

Here is another photo of the water intrusion in the crawlspace of this home. As you can see, the soil towards the bottom of the photo is not too wet, but the soil near the wall and the wall itself is actually wet. If this homeowner would have waited much longer, mold could have easily started growing, creating even more health problems.

Installed CleanSpace Liner

Here is the what the finished crawlspace looks like with the CleanSpace installed. As you can see, the CleanSpace has completely covered the floor and walls. This helps to keep the moisture out of the crawlspace, keeping the relative humidity level down as well.

Here is another photo of the installed CleanSpace liner, which shows how intricately the CleanSpace is installed. You can see this towards the back of the crawlspace on the wall, our crew tries to form the CleanSpace into every nook and cranny in order to make sure it isn't torn or ripped later on.

Installed Sump Pump

Here is the SuperSump pump that was installed in the crawlspace of the home. This helps to get rid of any water that actually does make it into the crawlspace. This was installed in the lowest point of the crawlspace so that all of the water would drain to it, and then be pumped away from the home.
