Crawlspace During Inspection
Here is a photo of the crawlspace when our Systems Design Specialist first went out to the job. While it doesn't have a river running through it, there was quite a bit of moisture in this crawlspace. This was one of the main reasons for getting this crawlspace encapsulated.
Another Photo of the Crawlspace Before Installation
Here is another photo of the crawlspace before the CleanSpace was installed. As you can see, the crawlspace was already covered in a liner, however this one has nothing on CleanSpace. There are two main issues with the old liner; 1. it is too thin to prevent water from getting through, and 2. it is almost never sealed correctly. Both of which are true in this crawlspace.
Installed CleanSpace Liner
Here is a photo of the installed CleanSpace liner that was put into this crawlspace. As previously mentioned, this homeowner went with a full CleanSpace encapsulation, meaning that the CleanSpace covered almost all of the crawlspace, including the walls.
CleanSpace Liner
Here's another photo of the finished crawlspace with the CleanSpace installed. As you can see, the floor and walls were completely covered, while the columns are covered about a foot. This is because water can come in through the walls and floor, while water isn't just going to seep from a brick column.
Installed SuperSump Pump
Here is the sump pump that was installed in the crawlspace. The sump pump is placed in the lowest point of the crawlspace, so that when the water drains there, the sump pump is able to pump it out and away from the home. The sump pumps have lots of great features, if you want to know more you can look on our website!
Crawlspace Exit
Here is what the exit to the crawlspace looks like from the inside. As you can see, the crew worked the CleanSpace liner all the way to the edge of the door. This helps to prevent moisture from getting into the crawlspace through the area around the entrance/exit.
EverLast Door
The light in the photo distorts the picture, but you can still see the door that is installed on this crawlspace. The EverLast door creates an airtight seal, so that no air (or water) can make it into the crawlspace.
LawnScape Outlet
Here is where the discharge of the sump pump comes out in the yard. As you can see, it hardly is noticeable and it has such a low profile, that it won't affect any of your everyday activities! It is also far enough from the home, that no water will drain back towards the crawlspace!
