Soaked Crawlspace Ground
This photo shows just how wet this crawlspace ground was. If it wasn't for some gravel rocks under the home, this crawlspace would have been just like mud, because even in this photo is almost is. This homeowner had some serious issues and had them taken care of sooner, rather than later.
Beginning Installation
This is the crawlspace after the crew had been in there for awhile. It may not look like much, but the crew had already dug out a trench that spanned the perimeter of the crawlspace, put the 3-inch drain tile in, and then covered it with gravel. They were also working on installing the SilverGlo insulation at this point, which is the silver product you can see in the photos.
Wet Crawlspace Ground
Here is another picture that shows how wet the crawlspace was before we were able to come in and help them with this issue. Which, as you can see, was a pretty serious problem. While we can't necessarily dry out the ground before we start to install, once encapsulated, this does not make much of a difference!
Drain Tile Being Installed
Drain tile is a 3-inch diameter plastic pipe that has holes in it and covered in a sock. The sock is to keep as much dirt out as possible so that the pipe does not clog. It is covered in gravel, so that bigger pieces of dirt and debris don't even make it do the drain, because this drain leads to the sump pump, where all of the water is pumped outside the home.
Installed CleanSpace Liner
Here is the installed CleanSpace liner in this crawlspace. As you can see, it completely changes the look of the area, making it a much more attractive place to be. More importantly it keeps the water from getting into the crawlspace and create more problems.
Finished CleanSpace Installation in Basement
Here is what the crawlspace looked like once the CleanSpace was installed. It completely changes the look and function in the crawlspace by making it look much better, while also keeping the moisture from getting into the crawlspace and causing problems.
SilverGlo Insulation Installation
That's a tongue twister for sure! But this is a picture of the SilverGlo being installed in the crawlspace. This was actually done before the CleanSpace was installed, as you can see. This insulation provides even better insulation from the outside than just CleanSpace. This isn't always necessary in warmer areas, but we do suggest this product in places that get much colder.
SaniDry Dehumidifier
Here is the dehumidifier that was installed in the crawlspace. This is one of the last items that gets installed in a crawlspace, because it goes on top of everything else. The dehumidifier helps to keep the relative humidity level in the crawlspace below the level that mold can grow out.
Wet Crawlspace Ground
Here is another photo that shows how wet the crawlspace ground was before the CleanSpace was installed. We've said it before, but this was a very serious issue, and was taken as such by our Systems Design Specialist.
Crawlspace Entrance
Believe it or not, this is where the crew, and all of their materials had to fit through. This certainly is not always the easiest job for our crew members, but they know how to get it done. Even in such a small area, they can make it beautiful! We would not be able to do it without them!
