Open Ground in Crawlspace
Uncovered and unencapsulated crawlspace floors are one of the biggest contributors to moisture in the crawlspace. While it may not be obvious, water vapor is almost constantly seeping through the ground and being released into the crawlspace.
Another View of Unencapsulated Crawlspace
Here is another photo of the crawlspace without any work having been done. Again, having an uncovered floor allows a lot of moisture into the crawlspace, which allows mold to grow even easier. Mold loves moisture and organic materials, like wood and insulation.
Mold On the Floor Joists
This is one of the main reasons that this homeowner decided to call All-Dry. After having strange smells in their crawlspace for quite awhile, they decided to check it out and found out there was a lot of mold. Our crew was able to go under the home with Mold-X and spray the boards. Mold-X is a product that both kills existing mold as well as help to prevent mold from coming back again.
Installed CleanSpace Liner
This is a photo of part of the encapsulated crawlspace. This was around the perimeter of the crawlspace and was a small trench. Our crew did a great job of following the slope of the trench so that the water would flow better, and to make sure that the liner would not get ripped or pulled off of the wall.
Encapsulated Crawlspace with CleanSpace Liner
This is the finished project, the encapsulated crawlspace in all of its glory! This picture gives a pretty good view of the crawlspace as a whole, and the type of work, as well as the quality of work, that we do here at All-Dry. In this photo, there is a wrapped column, CleanSpace Liner up the walls, as well as the normal CleanSpace liner laid flat on the ground.
More Installed CleanSpace Liner
Here is another view of the finished crawlspace, with CleanSpace installed. This is a better view of the trench that was mentioned in an earlier photo. It can be seen much easier and it shows how it goes along the perimeter of the crawlspace wall. The way our crew lays the CleanSpace is great, this photo shows how it is laid tight on the ground, as well as up the walls.
Last View of the Installed CleanSpace Liner
Here is one final view of the completed job! This is another good angle of the installed CleanSpace, showing a good amount of the work that our crew was able to do in just a couple of days. This customer does not have to worry about their crawlspace having moisture or mold issues because of their new system. This homeowner was extremely happy to have this work done, and even more excited for the peace of mind.
