Crawlspace Before Cleanspace
This shows a pretty wide view of the crawlspace. There was an old crawlspace liner, but it was not doing much to help with the water intrusion. The ground is very wet on the left hand side of the picture, and is almost like mud.
Wet Area in Crawlspace
Here is a closer view of one of the damp areas in the basement (there was no shortage of these). Not only is the water soaked into the ground, but the water has actually soaked into the wall, as seen in the first row of full blocks.
Another Area of Wetness in the Crawlspace
This corner was probably one of the worst areas in the crawlspace. The ground around this pipe is absolutely soaked and could very well be one of the sources of water intrusion. However, after the CleanSpace is laid, this will not be a problem.
Installed CleanSpace Liner
Here is the final product! The CleanSpace has been completely laid out and secured to the wall. The CleanSpace has also been sealed so that no moisture is able to get into the crawlspace.
Another view of Installed CleanSpace
This is the entrance to the crawlspace. Since this door was solid and sealed pretty tight to the door frame, this homeowner didn't have an EverLast door installed.
Installed Sump and CleanSpace
The sump pump that was installed was a SuperSump sump pump. Anything and everything drains down to this sump pump, which then pumps out all of the water to an outside area.
Working Around Obstacles
There is almost nothing that our crews let get in their ways. The CleanSpace liner is cut out around obstacles, like this water heater, and then sealed right back up the same way that the outside walls are sealed. This photo also features part of the SantaFe Edge II Dehumidifier, which helps to keep the humidity level down in the crawlspace.
More CleanSpace!
There is never enough CleanSpace! Well, maybe there is, but this crawlspace was quite large and needed a lot of CleanSpace Liner to correctly encapsulate it. Our crews do a great job of laying out the CleanSpace pretty tight, and they do an even better job sealing the CleanSpace flush against the floors and walls.
Drainage Area
This is where the water from the crawlspace is pumped to. This drain is away from the house and always drains away from the home, so that the same water that was pumped out does not just make its way back in.
