National Wild Turkey Federation Crawlspace Project in Edgefield, SC
Challenge
This crawl space job for the National Wild Turkey Federation was not our average job. This project is one of the largest we have taken on at All-Dry of the Carolinas. The difficult part of this job was the sheer size of it. Our crew had a lot of material to lay in order to protect this customer's crawlspace from moisture and mold. Much of the insulation under the crawlspace had gotten/moist and in began to fall, you can see this in some of the pictures below. Another huge problem that this customer had was mold. In some of the pictures, you can see the mold caused by the excess moisture under the building, and one of the main reasons we recommended the products we did.
Solution
The biggest part of this job was laying the 9800 square feet of CleanSpace Liner. This CleanSpace Liner prevents moisture from getting into the crawlspace, keeping mold from being able to grow and thrive. While the CleanSpace does a phenomenal job at this, coupled with some other products we offer, you can really make sure any water that may build up (even below the CleanSpace liner) will be expunged from the crawlspace. In this customer's case, we went with almost 150 feet of perimeter drain. This collects any water that may build up and drains it the the sump pump, in this case our highest quality one-the TripleSafe. The sump pump then pumps out any water that has accumulated. Of course before we could do any of this, our crew had to clean out any fallen insulation and debris, to ensure the CleanSpace Liner could be laid without any interuptions!
The NWTF was so pleased with this job that they have been coming back to us for any basement or crawl space work they have needed done for over 5 years! In 2014, the NWTF had another huge project that they trusted us to complete. It was a very similar project in which our crew installed almost 10,000 square feet of CleanSpace Liner and had to use our Mold-X product in order to get rid of the mold!
