Old Times
Many homes have this outdated version of a sump pump. And that is just fine. Many older sump pumps don't even have lids, so this one is definitely ahead of the curb. Then what is this issue? After a few years, it no longer worked and it continued to take up space until the homeowners decided to get a new one.
Starting the Process
When we began installing the new crawlspace, we planned to use the original sump hole. The difference here is that we began installing WaterGuard as well.
Almost There
Here we've moved on to the final steps. We've installed the pump, along with the WaterGuard system, and surrounded the products with gravel.
Final Result
Lastly, the WaterGuard and the rest of the hole is covered with cement. Once it all dries, the cement will blend right in with the floor.
