Common Crawlspaces
This crawlspace may look particularly unsightly, but I promise you...quite a few of them look just like this one. There are mounds of dirt and scattered gravel. This may not help keep your crawlspace moisture free, but it does mean that you are not allow if your crawlspace resembles this one.
No Absence of Evidence
This photo showcases why it's a great idea to go for an encapsulation. Block walls are porous little things. Water pours into the crawlspace and leaves behind stains as evidence. There should be a barrier placed over the walls to prevent this from happening.
15%???
This neat little device actually measures the moisture that's in wood. Fifteen percent may not seem like much, but it certainly is when it comes to wood. Wet wood draws the worst kind of criminals: termites. They love the stuff.
Encapsulation Time!
Nothing screams "moisture free" like a full encapsulation.
