Crawlspaces are often the neglected step child of homes. They are often dirty, ill-kept, and humid little crevices. Nothing about them are scream: “Welcome!” No one likes to travel down to their crawlspace, and, here at All-Dry of the Carolinas, we don’t blame you. If these crawlspaces are not properly cared for, they can become the spawning place for mold, mildew and other unpleasant little things. Once that happens, it’s impossible to drag anyone into their crawlspace. This wasn’t completely true for this Camden, South Carolina homeowner. This homeowner was actually ahead of the curb. They’d had another contractor come in and install a liner against the dirt crawlspace.  This liner was very thin, flimsy plastic. It was not secured and did not extend beyond the floor. The insulation was filling with moisture and steadily falling to the floor. All that was left were small pieces and patches of insulation. This happened because of the high volume of moisture in the crawlspace. And that tiny little liner was not helping matters. They wanted a full encapsulation. Finally, they decided to give All-Dry of the Carolinas a call to rectify the problem and give them exactly what they wanted. Our Design Specialist came out and gave them a free estimate. After reviewing the crawlspace area, he agreed that a full encapsulation was necessary to rectify all of the issues. This included our patented CleanSpace liner, and a SaniDry CX dehumidifier.
