Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Arden, NC Crawlspace is Revamped and Renewed with Full Encapsulation

This Arden, North Carolina homeowner was having a major water problem in their crawlspace. Previously, they’d had someone come out and install a sump pump, but they were still having issues. The wood in the crawlspace was rotting and mold spores could be spotted along the beams and walls of the crawlspace. The customer had reported to All-Dry that they had yet to see any mold move upstairs. However, it was only a matter of time. The plastic liner that had previously been installed was not only torn in places, but it was also not properly sealed. Huge gaps in the liner could be seen all along its white surface. Having a liner is always a good idea; however, if there are too many gaps in the product, it’s not performing efficiently. And, frankly, there may as well not be a liner, if it isn’t completely sealed and secured. In summary, the customer was not wrong. The crawlspace had a ton of problems, none of which were helped by the half-way job it had before we took a look at it. Never the less, we did look at it. Our Design Specialist, David Listovitch, was able to prescribe a few products to rectify any short comings. In all, we installed our famous CleanSpace liner, a TripleSafe liner and WaterWatch alarm system, and a Sedona dehumidifier. After we finished, the crawlspace looked brand new, and the homeowner was a firm believer in the All-Dry of the Carolinas.
