Crawlspace During Initial Inspection
This crawlspace, even at first glance, has a multitude of issues. The dirt floors are only part of the problem. This homeowner attempted to cover the floors with a plastic sheet, but that is simply not enough to keep the water vapor from escaping into the space. What's more is that the crawlspace has open air vents, this can't be helping moisture levels in the least.
A Dark, Dirty Crawlspace
There are many pipes and parts that run along the floor of this crawlspace. As shown here, the floors do have a liner, but its so dark it blends in with the dirt floors. It also wasn't particularly thick, so any stray rocks would have easily pierced the material. With CleanSpace installed, the owners wouldn't have to worry about that issue.
An Area Restored with CleanSpace
This is a photo of the crawlspace with the pipes in view. As shown here, not only have they been made more visible, but the likelihood of something happening to either line has decreased to zero. The pipes do need to travel through the CleanSpace and so the material is sealed around the pipes as well. All of the problem areas are covered.
CleanSpace Along the Walls
When we do our CleanSpace liner, we like to bring it up and seal it along the walls. The material is thick and so it requires a variety of methods to actually get the job done, all of which prevent moisture from getting into the space.
Finished Crawlspace
The space is completely transformed, not only is the space cleaner, but its brighter. Plus, the thick liner provides the homeowner with enough cushion to inspect the crawlspace whenever needed.
