Basement During Initial Inspection
This photo doesn't show off any real issues or water intrusion in the basement, but gives a pretty good view of the area that the Design Specialist and crew were working with. The wall on the left-hand side of the photo is mainly where the water was getting into the basement.
Another Photo of the Basement Before Installation
One important thing that has to be done before the crew starts working is that anything around the work area needs to be moved away from the area. The main reason for this is to allow the crew to easily move and work around the area. However, the added benefit is that because the jackhammers create dust, having things moved further away helps to mitigate the mess.
Installed WaterGuard Drain Under Stairs
Our crews do a great job when installing our products. They've been trained extensively, but many of them have been with us for several years and a couple of our employees have been with us for over 15 years! There isn't much that they have not seen, and having to work under these stairs was no big deal to them.
System Installed and Shelving Reinstalled
At this point in the project, the crew had already installed both the WaterGuard and the SuperSump, both of which can be seen in this photo. The WaterGuard is actually in the floor under freshly poured concrete which is the dark area next to the wall. The SuperSump can be seen on the left side of the door in the corner.
SuperSump Pump System
The sump pump is a very important part of the system and is what helps make the system effective. The WaterGuard does a great job at catching the water, but the water must go somewhere. The water is drained to the sump pump where the water is caught and then pumped outside of the home.
