Basement Before Installation
This shows the basement that was dealing with some pretty severe water intrusion issues. While this particular picture doesn't show all of the water that was in the basement, it does give a good reference of the basement in general. This biggest issue was water pooling up around the joint between the floor and the small step up.
Towels to Catch Water
Here is how the homeowner was trying to keep the water from doing as much damage. They continually used towels in order to soak up the water so that it wouldn't just sit there soaking into the floor. While this can definitely help, it is certainly not a long-term solution to water intrusion issues.
Water Damage
This is what the homeowner was worrying about and why they were trying to soak up as much water as possible. The amount of water that was coming into the basement was making quick work of the paint on the floor. The photo shows how much paint has already been removed from the floor.
Installed WaterGuard Drain
This is what the area looked like after the WaterGuard drainage had been installed in the basement. It follows the entire length of the wall in order to catch any water that makes it through. It is important to go along the entire affected area (and maybe a little further) because it prevents water from getting around the drain and still causing damage.
WaterGuard Installed Around Corner
This is the area that is around the "corner" from the first photo where there was another area that was getting a lot of water as well. Having the WaterGuard go around the entire area helps to keep the water out of the basement completely, not just "mostly". When we install our system we do our best to ensure that all of the water is kept out.
Closer Up View of the Installed WaterGuard
This photo gives a pretty good view of the installed WaterGuard drain. As you can see, the WaterGuard creates a gap between the floor and wall, which is where the water gets into. Once the water is in the WaterGuard it then drains down to the SuperSump where it can be pumped outside of and away from the home.
More of the Installed WaterGuard
Here is another view of the WaterGuard that was installed in the basement of this home. This was the area that was shown in the first few photos, but with much more protection against water intrusion. There is also a little sneak peek of the SuperSump in the bottom-right corner of the photo.
Installed SuperSump Pump System
Here is the sump pump that was installed in order to get rid of the water that came into the basement. The WaterGuard was there to catch the water and would immediately drain it to the sump pump, where it would be pumped out of the basement and far enough away from the home that it couldn't make its way back.
