CleanSpace Secured to Basement Walls
This photo shows the CleanSpace that was installed in this basement to help keep water and water vapor out of the area. CleanSpace is a thick vapor barrier that is secured and sealed to the wall in order to catch any water and take it to WaterGuard that is installed in the floor of the basement.
More CleanSpace Liner Installed On Walls
Here is another photo of the CleanSpace that was installed in this homeowner's basement. The liner had to be installed around the entire basement wall, which meant having to work around the stairs leading down to the basement. Fortunately this wasn't much of an issue for our crew to handle.
Installed CleanSpace Liner and WaterGuard
This photo mainly shows the CleanSpace that was installed in the basement, but also features the WaterGuard drain that was installed as well. The WaterGuard is the darker patch of concrete that goes along the floor next to the wall. Under the fresh concrete there is a WaterGuard that helps to drain the water to the sump pump that was also installed in the basement.
SuperSump System Installed
This photo shows off all three of the products that were installed in the basement of this home. As we've seen in the previous pictures, there is CleanSpace along the wall and WaterGuard installed around the perimeter of the basement to help catch water. However, our crew also installed a SuperSump pump system which is where the water drains to and is then pumped up and away from the home.
Close Up of WaterGuard and CleanSpace
This shows how the system works a little better, because it is easier to see the "interaction" between the CleanSpace and WaterGuard. The CleanSpace is tucked behind the WaterGuard so that any water will roll down to the bottom of the CleanSpace and then makes its way to the WaterGuard, where it will then be taken to the sump pump to be pumped away from the home.
Downspout Extensions
This homeowner's downspouts were draining right onto this concrete pad attached to the home. The water would pool up here and begin to soak through to the basement. The best solution was to redirect the water by extended the downspouts away from the home, which is exactly what we did here. The rain that the gutters collect is now moved much farther away from the home.
LawnScape Drainage Outlet
This is where the downspout extensions from the last photo came out to. As you can see, the outlet is a good distance away from the home and is also on a hill sloping away from the home. This is a great spot for this because there isn't really any way for the water to get back to the home and start the cycle all over again.
