Area Behind the Business
This was the main area that we were working in for this business owner. Our main concern was to take care of all of the gutters/downspouts. As you can see in this photo, there are several of them, and even more that aren't in this picture. We also had to clean up the area around the perimeter of the building.
Close Up of Area Before Installation
Here is the same area as the first picture, but more of a close up. You can see that there are a lot of areas where water can get in and through the wall, which of course is never good for any building. This is one reason why this job was so important, this problem needed to be taken care of before things got too far out of hand.
Door in Back of Business
Another reason that there needed to be proper drainage for this building was because of the location and "elevation" of the back door. The door was pretty much level with the parking lot in the back, which meant that when the water wouldn't drain correctly, it could much more easily get through the door.
More Outside Views
Here is another wide view of the back of the building that we were working with. You can see just how many downspouts that we were working with. This was certainly a very unique project that we took on in order to help out this business owner. Although different, it was certainly a fun job to come up with a solution that really works.
Downspout Extensions and Drain
This shows exactly what we did for this building. As you can see, we extended all of the downspouts in the ground. However this would not do too much good if it wasn't for the other product that was also put in, which was a drain line. The extensions run into this drain line and takes it all the way to the runoff area, which will be shown later.
Other Side of Building
Here is another photo that shows the products that were installed. As you can see the drain line runs all the way down this wall, so that the water won't sit along the wall and continue to cause problems for the homeowner.
Another Angle of the Downspout Extensions
Here is another view of the downspout extensions in the back of the building. Again, this was an extremely important project for both us and the business owner, so we made sure we did it right. This was a very efficient solution that was able to solve this owner's problems with water getting into the building.
