Basement Before Installation
This is how the basement looked before we installed our products. While the basement does not seem like it is in too bad of shape, it can sometimes be difficult to see the effects of water intrusion especially if it is in the early stages. However, this is a good thing since we were able to catch the problem quicker and take care of it before any serious damage was done.
Another Picture of the Basement Before Installation
Here is one more picture of the basement before our crew came to install the system. This area shows a little more of the water intrusion, although it still is not a huge amount. The water intrusion can be seen on the right wall from the minerals (the white stuff) that are left on the wall when the water has evaporated off.
Installed CleanSpace Wall and WaterGuard
This is one area in the basement that has the products installed. The white sheet of plastic is actually our CleanSpace Wall, which helps to direct any water that comes through the wall, to the WaterGuard. While you can't actually see the WaterGuard, you can see where it is located. The WaterGuard is under the wet concrete by around the perimeter of the floor.
Close Up of WaterGuard
Here is the end of the line for the WaterGuard, although this is not where the water ends up, you'll see that later on! The WaterGuard is extremely difficult to see, because it is actually under the concrete. The WaterGuard leaves a gap between the wall and floor, which allows for water to drain into it.
WaterGuard Around Stairs
There are usually small things during installation that can make installation a little bit harder, like stairs! Fortunately, there are things much worse than stairs to work around! Our crew took a few extra minutes working around the stairs, but were still able to get everything installed and looking good!
Another View of the Installed CleanSpace Wall and WaterGuard
Here is another view of the basement with our products installed! One of the many great things about CleanSpace is that we can install a number of products over the CleanSpace, or even just normal drywall. This allows for the basement to be protected by water, and also have the chance to be finished.
Installed SuperSump
Here is the sump pump that was installed in the basement of this home. This is the area where all of the water that makes its way into the basement ends up. The water is then pumped out of the basement and outside, where the water won't make it's way back to the basement.
Another View of the Completed Project
Again, it may not seem like there was a huge problem in the first place, and that this system is overkill, but it isn't. This system will protect this homeowner from water intrusion through the walls, which was where it was coming in from. The CleanSpace Wall also helps to brighten up the area!
Installed IceGuard
This is a product that we actually don't get to install that often. It is called IceGuard and it prevents the discharge line from freezing and busting. While Georgia and the most of the Carolinas are a relatively warm area, North Carolina and Upstate SC can get quite cold during the winter. The product is essential to keep the system working, even during the winter.
