Basement Before WaterGuard and Sump Pump
This is one of the only photos that we have of the basement before our crew came in to install the products for the homeowner. While this area in particular was not the worst, you can see some areas how the wall or floor is discolored. This discoloration is caused water intrusion.
Installed WaterGuard
Here is the majority of the WaterGuard that was installed in this home. The water was really only coming through this one basement wall, which was the reason for only having the WaterGuard along one wall, rather than around the perimeter of the basement.
WaterGuard in Corner of Basement
While the water was mainly coming through one wall, the WaterGuard was laid a little further past the wall, the catch any water that may soak through around the corners. You can actually see some areas where the water has soaked through on the back wall.
Close Up of WaterGuard
This picture shows a close up of WaterGuard, and is a pretty good picture to explain how it works. It is basically a special drain that is installed into the floor (so it is less invasive), that collects the water and drains it to a sump pump. If you look closely, there is a small gap between the wall and "floor"/drain. This gap is there to catch the water as it comes through the wall and runs towards the floor. The water then drains to the sump pump.
Another View of Installed WaterGuard
Here is another view of the WaterGuard in the basement of this home. As you can see, it goes all the way down the wall, and goes around the corner until it gets close to the shelves. Again, the reason for this was to make sure that any water that soaked through to the adjacent walls, would be caught by the extra WaterGuard.
SuperSump Pump and Discharge
Here is the SuperSump pump system that was installed in this homeowner's basement. The WaterGuard that was installed drains to the the sump pump, which then pumps the water out of the white discharge line that you can see going up the wall and out into the yard.
LawnScape Outlet and Discharge
Here is where the discharge line that was shown in the last picture ended up. The small green grate that can me seen in the picture is actually where the water will come out from. The discharge line is taken out far enough so that the water won't just run straight back to the basement.
