WaterGuard and SuperSump Installed in Hendersonville, NC
Challenge
This home in Hendersonville, NC had already waterproofed their basement, or so they thought. They had an existing sump pump but for some reason it wasn’t doing a good job to keep their basement dry. So this homeowner called us at All-Dry of the Carolinas to have additional work added to their basement.
Our design specialist David Listovitch went to visit the home and saw signs of water along the perimeter of the basement. Water would seep in from the foundation and puddle on the tile floors of the basement. When Mr. Listovitch looked at the basement he recommended to the home owners that a new Sump Pump and WaterGuard would best fit their home’s needs.
Solution
Our crew, led by crew Forman Will Harris, started on this basement by removing the old sump pump that was once in the basement. Then our crew began to jack hammer the perimeter of the basement so that the WaterGuard drainage system could be installed. Once there was a space for the WaterGuard to be laid down, it was leveled out at a slight angle so that any water that was to enter the system would flow towards the new SuperSump Pump, then covered with concrete. The SuperSump Pump system is one of the best sump pumps on the market. The system can pump up to 2,650 gallons of water an hour, a WaterWatch Alarm System, A SuperLiner, and Airtight Lid. The WaterWatch alarm system warns the homeowner of when water has reached the top of the pump. The Airtight Lid keeps moisture from evaporating into the basement, keeps bugs out, and is strong enough to stack items on top of so that you don’t lose floor space in your basement. The water that drains from the WaterGuard into the SumpPump is then flushed out to the yard through the LawnScape Outlet.
