Severe Water Intrusion in Iva, SC Basement Leads to WaterGuard and SuperSump Installation

Unfortunately, many homes have basements that are almost unusable or unsafe because of the water intrusion in their basements. This homeowner was dealing with a great deal of water intrusion, which is why they originally called us. They used their basement to store a lot of their things, most of which seemed to be paper products. Having paper products with water intrusion can be very bad, because it allows mold to grow easier and water can easily destroy documents and other papers/boxes.

The "before" photo shows what the basement looked like before any work was done for the homeowner. As you can see, the water intrusion has caused some pretty extensive damage to the floor and wall in this area. You can tell that this had been going on for awhile and something needed to be done to correct it. Fortunately, our Systems Design Specialist knew exactly what needed to be done.

The "after" picture shows what the same area looked like after our crew went to the home to install our system. The crew started by removing a few inches of concrete from the wall, as well as a large hole for the SuperSump. Once the concrete is removed, the sump pump is installed and the WaterGuard drain is put in as well. These two products work together extremely well in order to keep water out and away from the home.
