Water, believe it or not, can come into your home from multiple places. There is danger around every corner, so to speak, if this issue isn’t handled. Hendersonville, North Carolina residents were having this very issue before All-Dry of the Carolinas became involved. After dealing with this issue for months, they finally gave us a call. In return, we sent out one of our Design Specialists to investigate the potential problems. Unsurprisingly, he discovered several major issues within the basement. Due to flooding, the moisture levels were high, making the basement a playground for mold and rot. Efflorescence was piled high into corners and scattered all along the cement floor. It was messy and not something the homeowners wanted to continue to deal with for a longer period of time. After going over the entire basement, it was finally decided that the home needed a SuperSump Plus, Sedona, Trench drain, WaterGuard, IceGuard and a FloodRing. All of these things combine to keep the basement dry and free from water.

Our Design Specialist checks moisture in the air with this little tool here. As you can see, the reading in this basement was far too high.

The Water Problem

The homeowners explained to All-Dry that water was getting into the basement from the garage entrance as well as the walls. In the corner here, there is evidence of that water intrusion.

Basement Flooding

In this photo, we can see more of what happens to a space once it has flooded several times. It's not a pretty sight in the least.

Potential Problems

Sometimes water heaters can have problems. Sometimes these 'problems' can lead to major flooding in your basement. Many people don't tend to think of the water heater as being a source of unwanted water. But, trust us, it can be a problem.

FloodRing and Company

Our solution to the flooding fear is our patented FloodRing system. This is a 4" high, PVC ring that is sealed to the basement floor around the water tank. This ring is also connected to the sump pump through a drainage system here. You can see we've made a little incision in the cement, installed the drain, and recovered it. If this water tank happens to leak, all of the water will be deposited safely in the sump pump.

Drain Lines

So that there's no bulking piping taking up space in your basement, we make incision in the cement floors and install drainage there. Once we've finished the install, we cover it back up with cement.

SuperSump Plus

This homeowner went with our patented SuperSump Plus sump pump. This sump has all the bells and whistles of the SuperSump (including a WaterWatch Alarm), but it has our TripleSafe liner.

IceGuard

This is a specially engineered fitting that goes outside your home and automatically ejects the water away from the exterior wall in the event that the pipe freezes. This is a good idea to have in case the pipes decide to freeze during the winter. It insures that you're not just stuck with the water.
