Obvious Signs of Water Intrusion
While this photo is a little dark, there are pretty obvious signs of water intrusion through the bottom of this wall. The dark and discolored areas at the bottom of the wall indicate that a pretty good amount of water has come through. Fortunately our System Design Specialist knew that we would be able to take care of this issue!
Basement Before Installation
Here is another view showing part of the basement that was having the water intrusion. While this wall wasn't affected nearly as much as the wall in the previous photo, you can see a few dark spots around the joint between the floor and wall on the right hand side. There is also some efflorescence along the bottom of the left wall.
Efflorescence Along Basement Wall
There were many different signs of water intrusion in the basement of this home, and here is another obvious sign of it. Efflorescence is a clear indicator that there is a high moisture level in the crawlspace and water has gotten in. The white powdery residue that is on the wall are minerals that were left behind once the water had evaporated.
Installed WaterGuard Drain and CleanSpace
This photo gives a pretty good look at the system that was installed in the basement of the home. The solution for this basement included installing both CleanSpace wall and our WaterGuard drain. The CleanSpace seals up the wall and helps to catch moisture coming through the basement wall and drain it to the WaterGuard. The WaterGuard then catches the water and drains it to the sump pump that was also installed.
More of the Installed System
Here is another photo that shows off the products that were installed in this basement. This wider view gives a better look at the CleanSpace wall which is an important part of the system. The CleanSpace does an excellent job at making sure the water doesn't just evaporate into the air, but rather is caught and directed to the WaterGuard.
Installed SuperSump and UltraSump Back Up
This customer had so much trouble with their basement and wanted to make sure that this wasn't going to be an issue again, so they tried to go all out! While a SuperSump is usually recommended in basement waterproofing, the UltraSump is optional. The UltraSump is a great upgrade however. The UltraSump is actually another pump that is attached to a battery instead of being hardwired, which means that even during a power outage water can still be pumped out of the basement.
