Hill Next to Home
This was one of the main issues with with the home; the hill it was built on. As everyone already knows, water runs downhill, so with the home at the hill, most of the water would pool up around the foundation of the home and make its way into the crawlspace of the home.
Water Under the Porch
While this doesn't relate exactly to the crawlspace of the home, it does show what was happening just outside of the crawlspace. You can actually see that there is mold growing on the underside of the deck, so you can imagine what the crawlspace looked like inside (although not quite as bad as the deck).
Damp Ground in Crawlspace
This shows off how wet some of the crawlspace ground was. While the ground near this pillar was completely soaked, this was actually one of the drier areas in the crawlspace. This goes to show that the moisture and water problems in this crawlspace were severe and needed out system installed as soon as possible.
Standing Water in Crawlspace
Standing water is something that no one wants to see in a crawlspace, because it means that somehow enough water was able to get in the crawlspace quick enough to form a large puddle. For that to happen, there has to be quite a bit of water coming in at a time. Fortunately our System Design Specialist knew that our products could easily take care of the water intrusion issue.
Installed CleanSpace Liner
Here is what the crawlspace looked like after the CleanSpace was installed. As you can see, the crawlspace was completely transformed through the installation. The crew installed the CleanSpace in such a way that it follows the lines of the crawlspace (flat all across the ground and straight up the wall), this is important so that the CleanSpace won't be pulled away from the wall or punctured easily.
More of the Installed CleanSpace Liner
Here is another photo showing off the installed CleanSpace liner in this extremely wet crawlspace. It is amazing just how much different a crawlspace looks when CleanSpace is installed. Not only does it look much better, but more importantly the water intrusion into the crawlspace is taken care of.
SmartJacks Installed in Crawlspace
While this homeowner's main problem was with the water intrusion, another important issue that they were dealing with were the sagging floors. This was why the SmartJacks were installed in the crawlspace. The crew installed a beam that stretched across the affected area and then installed the SmartJacks equidistant from each other in order to spread out the weight of the home.
CleanSpace Installation by Door
This shows the entrance to the crawlspace with the CleanSpace liner installed. It gives a great view of how our crew installs and seals the CleanSpace around different obstacles in the crawlspace. In this photo, you can see how the CleanSpace is installed and sealed on the wall, how the block columns are wrapped and sealed, and how the crew handles things like the SmartJacks that were installed and other obstacles like the water heater and pipes.
Installed SuperSump Plus
This is an extremely important part of the system that was installed in the crawlspace of this home. The sump pump is what pumps out all of the water that gets into the crawlspace, or under the CleanSpace liner. This sump actually has room to grow, with the ability to add another one or two pumps is necessary.
Installed SaniDry Sedona
Here is another instrumental piece of this system, the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. This compact unit is still able to dehumidify a large area while being small enough to just about fit anywhere. The dehumidifier ensures that any moisture that does make it into the crawlspace will be promptly taken out of the air and drained to the sump pump.
