Soaked Insulation
This is not something that we see very often, as we usually deal with unfinished basements. However, this can be a very big deal, especially if it goes unnoticed for too long. Insulation (and drywall) are perfect for mold growth, but fortunately this homeowner was able to catch this problem quickly.
Another Photo of the Insulation
Here is another photo showing off the insulation that was soaking up water that was coming through the basement walls. It was not just one small area, but rather the majority of the insulation in this room was completely soaked. Fortunately our system is able to take care of the water intrusion issues plaguing this home.
Installed WaterGuard Drain
This is the WaterGuard Drain that was installed in this basement in order to ensure that no water was able to stay in the basement. WaterGuard is a fully internal drainage system that works great and is extremely low profile. After the crew is finished, the homeowner will barely notice that any work was done!
More of the Installed WaterGuard
Here is another photo showing off the WaterGuard that was installed in the basement of the home. WaterGuard creates a gap between the floor and wall for water to be able to get into. However this gap is very small and pretty unnoticeable when everything is all said and done. Once this dries, the homeowner will hardly notice that any work was done at all!
Last Photo of the WaterGuard Drain
It is amazing how a product that can be pretty much completely hidden in the basement floor can make such a huge difference in the health of a home. The only piece of this system that wasn't shown was the sump pump that was installed in the basement in order to pump out any water that made its way into the basement.
