Large Crack Inside of Home
This is not something that we come into contact with too often. Most foundation cracks occur from the outside, rather than the inside, unless the cracks are caused from sagging floors (not the case in this home). This is where our System Design Specialist had to figure out exactly where the push piers must be installed to fix these.
Another Internal Foundation Crack
Here is another large crack that had formed in the interior of the home. As you can see, this is not just a small crack that can be easily overlooked, but a large crack that is evidence of serious foundation issues. This is one of the few projects that we installed push piers on the inside of the home, rather than the outside.
Crack on Exterior Foundation
This picture shows some of the outside cracking that had occurred because of the settlement of the foundation. Again, as you can see, this crack is quite large and is something that could not be ignored for any longer. It was cracks like this that pushed the homeowner to give us a call.
Closed Interior Cracks
Here are the the cracks that were shown in the first photo after the push piers had been installed. As you can see, significant progress was made with these cracks. This home was able to be lifted and bring the home back towards its original position. The homeowner was extremely happy to see this much progress.
Indoor Push Pier
This is something that almost never done here at All-Dry of the Carolinas. Most of the foundation issues that we see can be fixed from the outside, but this push pier had to be installed on the inside of the home. It was essentially the same process that we normally go through, we just had to go through the floor of the basement.
Push Pier Installed Outside
This was one of three push piers that were installed on the outside of the home. This is normally where we install push piers, but as you can see there is almost no difference between the ones installed on the inside versus those on the outside. This hole will be completely filled back in and it won't seem like any work will have been done at all!
Another Installed Push Piers
Push piers are attached to the foundation of the home (however deep this may be) in order to provide support for the home. Sturdy metal rods are driven down into the ground until they reach a solid base. Once this solid foundation is established, the home can begin to be raised.
Another Installed Push Pier
Here is another one of the push piers that was installed to help bright this home back towards its original position. This homeowner had been worried about these cracks in their home, but after the push piers were installed it took a lot of worry and stress off of their minds.
Covered Push Piers
Here is where the two push piers were installed inside the home. As you can see, after the crew had dug the holes and installed the push piers, they mixed a little concrete and covered the area back up! While this was definitely a project that was a little different than normal, it turned out great and the homeowner was happy with the installation and results!
