Cracks in Basement Wall
This shows why this home needed wall anchors. This crack is caused by the outside pressure of the earth pushing on the basement walls.
Before Wall Anchors were installed
You can see the end of the rods in this photo. A metal plate will go on each of these rods and then tightened in order to correct the bowing.
Wall Anchor Plates installed
This shows the wall anchors fully installed on the walls. They are evenly spaced in order to provide the best support to the wall as possible.
Another location where wall anchors were installed
This is another part of the basement where the wall anchors were installed. The dry wall was cut in order to install the wall anchors, and was fixed after the installation was done.
Installed Wall Anchor
Another photo of an installed wall anchor. While it may seem simple and doesn't seem like it would make a difference, these products really do work. Not only do they help to correct the bowing walls, but they actually prevent the wall from bowing even further.
Other side of the Wall Anchor
This is what the wall anchor looks like on the outside of the home. A hole like this is dug and the wall anchor is installed. After they have been installed and tightened correctly, the holes are filled back in.
Another Installed Wall Anchor
Another wall anchor on the outside of the home. The surface area of the metal plate keeps it from collapsing or moving.
