CleanSpace installed in Ninety Six, SC Crawl Space
Challenge
This is a home in Ninety Six, SC that was dealing with ground water, earth moisture, and mold. The home owners noticed that these conditions were wasting energy in their home, making their heating and cooling bills go up. To fix this problem they decided to go with a total encapsulation that we at All-Dry of the Carolinas offer. Our total encapsulation includes CleanSpace, a SumpPump, and a dehumidifier.
Solution
Each home is different so each home has to have a system that fits its issues correctly. Our design specialist decided to go with CleanSpace, a SmartSump Pump, and a Aprilaire dehumidifier. Before our team could install out CleanSpace system, they had to remove the old insulation and other debris that was in the crawl space. From there our team installed a SmartSump Pump that was placed into the ground. SmartSumps are great for crawl spaces because their liner is smaller than the other brands of pumps and it is an oval shape that allows it to fit into tight corners of the crawl space. The SmartSump is equipped with a WaterWatch Alarm System that sets off a high pitch noise that alerts the homeowner that water has reached the top of the pump. Attached to the SmartSump is an UltraSump which is a backup battery pump. The CleanSpace is then wrapped around the floor and the pump is sealed in tightly with the CleanSpace. An Aprilaire dehumidifier is then added to the crawl space to remove all moisture from the air, where the liquid is pushed into the SmartSump to be flushed from the area into the LawnScape outlet in the yard.
Together will all of these products our All-Dry team was able to stop the crawlspace’s intake of water, resulting in an All-Dry basement.
